id rather try and land this thing safely with a false fire light, then regret it 30 minutes into the flight when its too late.

We are in the feedback loop, where nature has now taken over, and started emitting stored GHGs. These emission rates will far exceed anything man can put out. Unfortunately, there is nothing that can be done about this situation, the planet is exiting the ice age it is currently in. We are along for the ride.

I perceive the bureaucrats ran out of “go bring me another rock” questions. They stonewalled as long as they could. They were cornered, and had to approve it.

Back in the early 1800’s people up north wanted cotton and they said about the same things of the slaves in the south who were forced to pick it. It doesn’t “work for them” it’s their only option.
