Has nobody ever thought about re-initing the box when presented with too much over the top testesterone laden "don't touch the box if you're not flying".
I never had anybody push too hard(as Fangs reported), but as a capt and as a FO I've had the "stink eye" with some push back .......both times I just dumped the box and said...."It's all yours, knock yourself out, I'm going for coffe, you want anything?"
That leaves them scratching their head as they don't know what to think.
Maybe a little too passive/aggressive for some?

After giving him the wtf did you do that he told me it was part of his habit and didn’t realize I had the box loaded. What he thought I was doing typing at the box for the last 10 min is beyond me.

Supposedly it was a 2-year study by Airbus, and we are aligning with thier procedures. Ignoring the fact the rollout of this was an absolute train wreck, I HATE this new checklist item.
The Vol 1 says the Captain checks the IGNITION is displayed or not on the [ECAM] memo and announces "IGNITION" or "NORM". Except with anti ice on in a 319/320, it was say "Ignition" regardless of the engine mode selector position, so that doesn't really work for the switch position. Besides, "Heavy Rain/Severe turbulence/Standing Water" are about as common as the times we use Wing Anti Ice, yet we don't add THAT to the checklist. Twice. I mean, what other "maybe/possibly" checklist itmes do we need to add to every day/every leg checklists??? Do we need to add "Engine Anti Ice ___" to the climb checklist? No, because we are capable of assesing and making a real-time decision. Not a fan.

Configuring at the last second. You will never, ever, in any way….impress me with how close you can get to 1000 agl before getting it all done.
this is actually the only thing i get bent about. Checklists, radios, box, whatever….as long as it gets done who gas. But driving in, like your trying to skid your miata into your garage at 80 mph actually does **** me off. It’s incredibly immature. Buy a motorcycle, take your ego out of it. Technique….2500 ft should be a trigger….
I guess also not cleaning up after yourself, or being rude to underwing or FA, or……crap im getting old

Im a big fan of carrying one's own personally selected and purchased headset. Get nice features like Bluetooth, noise canceling, and your own mic cover that can get as close to your lips as you want because it's your mic cover

Speaking of gear grinding, I like the quarter fold. I like to store it in a place where I can see the next checklist for most checklists so I don't even have to literally lift a finger. It really grinds LCP gears that I'm not physically picking up the checklist and holding it in my hand. Had one comment on it that I should at least pretend to read it to which we got in an argument over whether or not I could see all the words from where I was sitting.

If you choose not to carry, we still need you proficient on the operation. Kinda like adjusting rudder pedal IMHO. Really, that's a complaint.

I used to like to use one checklist folded hot dog style to fish out the long gone fully quartered checklists that disappeared into the holder. Could usually amuse use for five minutes trying to dig them out and see how many were there. Think my record was 3.
