To mister stache. yes we have the list as you pointed out, but the company can also "IROP" whenever they so decide. That is the issue. Needs to be some guardrails there.
This is exactly my point.

I’m well versed in the contract. I don’t think it’s right for the company to cover open time with me on a reroute at their convenience, while no IROPS exist on my current or next rotation. Then point at the lack of rest created by my reroute as an IROP for my next trip that justifies recovery flying and added segments on my next trip.

Rotations that conflict with a reroute have always been dropped in the past. That is how guys were making a killing doing the QRO maint/verification flights. Also, they changed your rotation requiring a DH to join which I think is illegal. If nothing else, that DH should trigger reroute pay since you flew it. I'd say you got screwed.

How contractually can they increase segments for the conflicted trip? I thought the only thing they can do is DH you to pick up the remainder of your trip?

This is incorrect. There has always been a limited 23K obligation. Depending on the subsequent rotation, the company many times just elects to not DH the pilot to rejoin. Also a 23K assignment is not a reroute, so no reroute pay will be due for the second rotation.

They didn’t add any live legs to his rotation, just a DH to rejoin.

I thought he said they added a DH to rejoin. Did they add additional flying?

I thought adding a DH to rejoin your rotation was legal and different from adding flying legs.

I am not sure. I'm just asking

It is. From what I read they just DH him to rejoin his rotation without additional flying legs added.
