Both the Company and ALPA were late on comms on this issue. The company "FAQ" was published a week after Priamary bidding was closed/awarded, making it wholly irrelevant.

Exactly my point. Further, how hard would it be to elect two months prior if we want to use the provision or not? Like CQ golden days etc…

Bump.

I have 15 days of excess vacation. Whats the best strategy for liquidating it? IVD? Payout at the end of the year?

I was out on mil leave, earned 15 days, and wasnt active during the vacation bidding periods.

Thanks!

Yeah I mean I’d IVD a trip at some point to use 4 days. Unless you can bid an open week in Jan/Feb/Mar then I think you won’t have a choice but to just have it paid out in April.

You CAN change your mind on PVPP. You can bid for it as part of your primary vacation and then later request have Crew Resources to remove it prior to monthly bidding for the month that contains that vacation block.

Food for thought: waiting until 1/1/25, you will at least be paid at the new pay rates for 25.

The value of a vacation day goes up too. So if it's paid out on April 1, would it be worth 4:35?
