Default ...things left out in the contract comparison

During the past TA the contract comparison left out many items that we should be aiming for. There are some areas of our contract we are completely lacking in work rules. To be the "best contract" out there, there are many little things we are missing or lagging on. There are a few items out of the UAL contract (outside of payrates) that we are behind on.

Deadhead (full language on chitchat)
basics - under 3 hours economy plus
- 3-8 hours 3 class airplane Business Class (if not avail First Class)
- 3-8 hours 2 class airplane First Class if not avail econ plus
- 50% override pay if in middle seat

New hires
- hotels paid for for new hires
- new hires get uniforms paid for

Company reimbursements
- company pays for dry cleaning uniform
- any CDC recommended vaccinations for flight destination company
covers
- company reimburses for Global Entry / Crewpass
- if needed to renew passport in person - company pays 1 hr
- crew meals for flights of 4 hrs
- breakfast for any report between 0001 and 0800

Reserve
- Long call pilots 13 hours (opposed to DAL's 12 hrs)
- Short call pilots get addition 2 hours pay if called out less than 1:30
- Short call pilots get addition 1 hours pay if called out less than 2:15

Vacation
- not only does UAL have a 6th week of vacation, they accrue it more
rapidly. A UAL pilot gets 5th week at 11 years of service, DAL
is 19

Pay (outside of rates)
- They have block in time defined in the contract by door open.
- Time away from base rig - 1 hr pay for 3.5 hrs TAFB (they also have
ADG like DAL.
- 764 at 777 rate. (330 should be up there too) We have too few
"top paying" positions

Shoot, I didn't realize they had those items in their contract, and with the new deadhead BS we were just handed, My price just went up.

Agreed on crew meal comparison.

Many rotations have a duty in before anything is open, followed by a tight turn. The company also has a policy of not delaying flights for crew meals.

For deadheads...leave the words "business class" or " first class" out. Use the phrase "highest cabin class available". My prior employer took advantage of that. "Oh sorry we can't book you in Business class bc the contract specifies First". And V/V.

You didn't know because the Moak Group and Moak Group wanna be's pulled untruths out of their behinds and kept repeating them until some thought they were true. They have been saying Delta pilots have the best work rules for some time and it simply isn't true. Not only that, but the few remaining good work rules left were being cued up as gives for a few bucks in POS2015....burning the furniture to heat the house as it were.

ALPA national (who has proved to be worthless) should have a precise, easy to read contract comparison of all the US airlines. With each contract all carriers should be brought up in any area they are behind while raising the bar in other areas.

What you had with knuckleheads from Moak Group (CurlyQ, Parker, et al) were guys cherry picking deficiencies in other contracts then attempting to lower the bar on our own contract for a nickel in pay.

Now is the time ladies and gentleman. Time to take the fight to the trenches to get back what was lost or stolen.

One other note, Moak completely sold the profession out regarding FAR117. We need to get national to fix the deficiencies or throw them out and start fresh with someone who will. Lastly, we need to file a DFR lawsuit against Donneteli for his backroom deal on the JV imbalance settlement. He urinated on each and every pilot of Delta Air Lines with that deal.

Percentage of the seniority list receiving wide body pay? Average and projected time to reach 50% seniority as wide body FO/CA? Average and projected time to reach 80% seniority as FO/CA in the top payscale aircraft? Percentage of the seniority list earning top tier pay rate?

I'd honestly be fascinated to read one number...the average ratio of TAFB to Total Compensation (pay, per diem, retirement, medical, uniforms, etc). I know it doesn't tell the totality of a contract, but total W2 as related to TAFB would (I suspect) be very telling. And I'm not sure it's even that challenging of a number for ALPA to generate.

I would like to add in American Airline's, "SICK if NEEDED" clause. Look this gem up. I guarantee with more valuable vacations offered and "sick if needed" implemented in our contract; DAL sick time usage data would greatly show improvements.

I would like to see some sort of hazard pay for any destination (LOS) that requires an armed convoy to get to the hotel. At least when I worked for Uncle Sugar and had to go into harm's way, I was given hazard pay and tax exempt status.
