Sorry your offended. It happens more than you think. Hopefully the post will help someone. It also does not matter if it's a one leg commute for you. Out and back flights from hubs often share the same flight number. When I mentioned my mistake to the crew flying that day two of the other three guys had done the same.

I thought APC was a place for pilots(ostensibly) to come and learn(or at least be presented with lessons learned/history)

Not chiding you....but these/this are the types of "lessons" i try to present to my "friends" as possible pitfalls.
You’re not wrong. The issue is that there are a number of posters that jump all over any sailing posts, regardless of what it is.

Go be retired, and stop preaching to active pilots who have been here almost as long as you were. You guys just can't let go can you? It's actually a little pathetic.

I'm familiar. This was not the case. It's not an out and back flight either.

What happened is exactly as I stated. Nothing more.

Something is jacked here. Again the JS folks have got all the details to include screenshots.

This has been the third time I've had this happened.

I'm not "jumping all over sailing". Nor am I castigating him. Merely pointing out that if he's read any of my posts he should know that I'm not new, don't need the "hey new guy" tone.

Once I hear back from the JS folks, assuming they figured out what occurred, I'll post it up. Many of us commute. Seeing you have a JS booked well in advance then find out there's another pilot showing the same thing iwhen you both arrive at the gate for check in is a real issue. Downplay it all you want. I'm not.
