Interesting. been here almost 10 years and have never once had a metering freq in ATL. They need to use one every day of the week. It works amazingly well in numerous high density airports. ORD is one that comes to mind.

This. We should never have to call ground leaving the ramp.

(I’ve been here just over 10 years and they used it a good good bit when I was brand new)

If you dig into the ACARS, you’ll find requests for Req Push & Req Taxi. NWA guy told me that they used it in DTW.

So it’s worse than you think. They gave the tech, they just don’t use it. Because reasons.
