Ehh when I was a west coast FO I was told to "go take your bows" multiple times by captains in a friendly, but expecting manner. The vast majority of us are normal, but it's definitely more than 5 out of 18k and not localized to Atlanta.

It's been a thing here for a few decades. I had my CA tell me that way back when I was an FO. I don't see what the big deal is, not like they are ordering you to do it. If your jet deplanes from L2, it's kind of a non issue anyway isn't it.

I know if we've had a particularly sh$$$$ flight I'll go say goodbye to the D1s and try to work my way back to say good bye to most of the pax as they deplane. We are not going anywhere without the FA's anyway (int'l we all jump on the same bus to layover).

Yeah as a captain I say bye to the pax most of the time, because I'm sick of sitting down and want to stand up. The key difference between us and the captains I mentioned is we don't tell our FOs to do it. If they wanna sit and text on their phone or leave and get food it matters zero to me.

I would obviously support this. We did neon green, orange, think it’s time for some hot pink!

I had a captain "debrief" me during the last leg of the trip that I need to get up faster to say goodbye, that passengers that and it drives up NPS scores. Younger guy, DTW 717... i took my time to put his name on the compass card instead of saying goodbye.

They want higher NPS scores? Maybe make us stop having to be accountants, and stop making us need lawyers to get insurance to pay.

Well, I have changed the definition of a high NPS score to suit my current needs. If I do anything over the absolute bare minimum, my internal NPS score actually drops.

sound familiar?
