Non standard items that change with who the CA is:

1. Under what scenarios to "roll the trucks"
2. On the 717 - who retracts the spoilers and sets flaps 25. No idea if other fleets do something similar
3. Who makes the PA when stopped
4. Who checks in with the FA's when stopped
5. Anything else???

Beyond those items you end up really going into the weeds depending on why you aborted and at what speed, so briefing much past that point isn't going to accomplish anything. Those items above capture the gist of getting the plane stopped and set for any post-RTO checklists or emergency procdures so are the main ones that could use some standardization.
5) when to call tower, some wanted right away, some wanted to wait until we came to a stop

6) what determines when the CA has the aircraft. “stay on it with me til you feel me come up on the controls” vs just “I have the aircraft” means that they do in fact have the aircraft.

the 737 does the spoilers down, flaps 40 as a technique/best practice, but it’s not procedure.

You must not work for Delta. Every Captain here has a different take on the “Captain specific” stuff. Some guys want the FO to make the “this is the CA remain seated” PA in addition to the tower reject request ARFF” PA. Some CAs want the FO to stow the boards and drop the flaps to full/30/40/25 whatever your fleet has as its max extended once you stop. Etc.

So your snark aside about real airline pilots, this is actually a good discussion.

I think at most airlines, the CA performs the abort.

Just to add another abort criteria that is NOT in the standard brief, but WAS a part of my recent CQ:

At 110 KTS, tower tells you "CANCEL TAKEOFF CLEARANCE!!!".

The official guidance is that this is not in the book for our abort criteria. But can be a judgement call. Or something like that.

that sounds like an unsafe to fly situation.

Indeed. It was good food for thought in a CQ. Does a message from ATC to cancel takeoff clearance in the high-speed regime imply that the plane is unsafe to fly? The lesson was something to munch on but didn't change anything about our criteria. I don't go so far as to say that Delta says go anyways, but preference was expressed to go unless what you said was met.

I guess that’s the reason then for the 10 minute briefs.
Trying not to be a snark.

Ignore this snark. It takes only a brief glance at their post history to see why.
