we should combine the two. You auto it you own it. The expensive scams are romantic to us but the scam pay is incredibly expensive for our side of the ledger and does not “trickle down” esoterically to the entire group yet the entire group bares the cost every contract. Sell the scams back for full value equal to everyone.

Probably because the batch size giveaway didn’t specify they had to be easy to read.

My guess is they are revised. They seem to go in sequence by time but then there are random dates in the middle of the list. Guess only <shrug>

if the list wasn’t so long, it wouldn’t matter I guess.

The truth is our scheduling department has collapsed and we are paying the price. Rather than fixing the department, the company decided to combine tracking and scheduling and authorize triple pay for every trip. Crazy logic. We’re also short-staffed but nothing they haven’t overcome in the past.

RG, is that you?

What do you think the end game is then for the company? And what would the end game be for us? I don’t know the exact details on how it will end but I’d expect the company and union come to an agreement that benefits us without the company paying triple pay for every trip. You know this won’t/can’t go on for ever, right?

Get enough "livid" pilots begging the LEC/MEC to give away even more parts of our contract, all for pennies on the dollar, or even for free. Just read all the people on here just begging to give away auto-accept. If enough complain to the LEC, they will just do another mon-MEMRAT "MOU" and get rid of auto-accept. Viola, problem solved. The company got out of their expensive problem for free.

Whatever the solution ends up being, it will need to cost the company every cent that 23M7 currently costs them. Management already lost this battle from a cost perspective. It will be forever baked into our contract value (until the next bankruptcy, which this will not cause).

"Their" problem is a problem for both sides, a disgrace, and owned by both sides. We have a hapless scheduling department, hobbled by poor IT, lack of IT, lack of straightforward processes, inexperienced and too few schedulers with far too little knowledge, and terrible leadership who sees our PWA not as a rulebook and instruction manual, but a despised document to be circumvented by any means necessary.

We then have some pilots--the farmers--who think that using a procedural technicality (that was developed not to slow things down, but somehow ended up doing exactly that) to deliberately [mod edit] up the system, who then get rewarded for it, is some sort of Holy Grail of the labor movement and anyone who suggests that perhaps that really isn't cool for the entire pilot group, is a 4th floor wannabe. We have a lot of pilots trying to fly premium pay the right way--that worked for the most part for a long time, i.e. GS through ARCOS--and it isn't happening. So at some point I guess I can't blame someone who sees lots of IAs and few GS going out, from picking up the phone and asking "what do you got for me?"

I don't agree or like that.

Tell me that you think the current status quo is (to quote Dr. Pangloss, a caricature of a character from Candide, which you may have read in World Literature long ago) "the best of all possible worlds."

I do not. No one is suggesting giving away things for free, like the batch size giveaway. But this current status is not how things should be. QS will help...I hope.
