Brave New World.
The guy I was sitting next to in DCLC class recently cited this as his main reason for upgrading

That's a solid point but doesn't cover the steep drop in seniority for Captain on the 330 in SEA and the 350 in ATL.

PB devaluation and Summer training are factors. Another factor of could be family. Younger pilot group might mean younger families so pilots prioritizing seniority for schedule flexibility and holidays.

I heard Xmas in JoBerg is nice tho

Also those currently in the left seat of the 320 have an awesome perk, can go have fun being a WB A on the 330 or 350 for a year then come right back to the 320 for seniority if desired.

I had a standing bid in for 330 A, then I looked at the PBS awards, thats an early death wish.

Thanks, I may just hold off buying for a week or so. Can anyone who had a recent award chime in with how long it took to get a firm sim date?

About 3-3.5 weeks and you’ll get your emailed training letter with the exact dates and sim times. At 4 weeks it will show in the IQ training schedule on your fleet page. You will also see your July training blocked out in PBS when we bid June 4.

You may want to recheck the vacation section in the PWA. If your vacation is liquidated they will reimburse for deposits to some extent.
