lol. We are literally in a Summer 2018-early 2020 loop. Out of nowhere in 2018, "we are going to tap the brakes on hiring effective immediately" for cost saving efficiencies. Every pilot predicted a wild summer in 2019. It happened, and management was shocked. Then after summer, the "we ran a little bit hot for summer 2019" confessional, driven by a promise to overhire in 2020. History repeats itself and we are relearning past mistakes.

At my interview they asked me if I’d be ok being an FO on the 88 in NYC for 7-10 years. That was in 2014. My things have changed.

Is there no 350 to 330 short course? Have I doomed myself to a month on Virginia Ave?

WB reserve is a totally different QOL vs NB reserve. I guess the potential commutes for SC could possibly be annoying but first world problems.

There is for the same seat. Airbus Cross-Crew Qualification (ACCQ) is 11 days IIRC.

The difference is no management confessional this time yet. Just accusing pilots of organized criminal
activity to the other employee groups. 🖕🏻 I’m not convinced “learning” has occurred.

not to mention they have 2 man crossings… MAD and LIS from what I’ve heard

Why not LHR, CDG, and AMS too then? LHR is closer to BOS than MAD, and CDG and AMS are both less than 50 miles further.

Just in case it's needed, I am NOT advocating for this. Just doesn't make sense to me.

I don't know, take a look at some WB wide reports. With the latest adjustment to PBs, reserve seems to be almost completely the most junior pilots with just a few sprinkled in higher up the list. That being said, I only looked at a few cats and just the As.
