Sorry, 90%-in-category guys hired in 2022+, we’re not upending the system because you chose to be a super-junior captain and will be for years.
BES dependent. 30% where I’m at, ATL 320A, and I’ve had two since they started.

ok, whatever. A SS is still limited by the pick up limit. I can fill up and then get a GS and get more pay. How bout that. The point is they are not the same and should not have the same counter.

There should be no counter at all. Seniority for the win.

+1

The company can use premium rotations (change them to 200%) in the bid package. Senior bidders want to use their seniority? Bid the crappy trips out of the package. The better straight pay trips go more junior.

The same cabal who wants “leveling” now will try to get rid of it in 5-10 years.
No kidding. Guys getting hired a a major airline with a couple thousand hours then they want all the things, now.

It’s not (just) Junior. I’m top third, maxed out on the pay scale, and I think SS should be leveled. Somehow. If not a counter (combined or solo), at least limit them to one SS per PCS run.

Or better yet, get rid of them entirely. Fixing the coverage ladder will probably make this all a moot point.

You've been on here asking some pretty basic questions (like what day we get paid...) to be talking down to your coworkers like that.

You've lost yo mind. There is no trip at Delta bad enough that I wouldn't fly it for triple. One 3-5 day Platinum slip and done for the month

Agreed, they will be leveled, but once the ladder is fixed, it will be a moot point. Leveling the SS does not abrogate seniority in any way; the senior folks still get first right at every SS. Just like Days off, GS, QS, and vacation.

How is it a deflection when everyone here chose the position they are in, and more importantly what seniority they were willing to accept in said position. Choices... deal with them. If you want that A chair or sack time in a bunk then there are concequences.

In my cat they are effectively limited. They only mint silver about 10 days out so every weekend (the trips that are getting the silver treatment) is run separately and there's no way to pick up more than one trip because they all overlap mostly Fr-Su. The pick up limit is an effective hedge because even the seniors can't get rid of all their trips unless they were built illegally or use sick. The later has been curtailed somewhat with the "soft" pilot pushing of GFB and reliability letters as well as turning lookback back on. And yes, I've tried to get SS and haven't been able as of yet.
