But I’m all for a common “premium counter”.

For most people, setting the trigger at awarded line value would raise the trigger which is currently at ALV-5 or 72 hrs (whichever is lower). Yes, for low credit bidders who manage to successfully bid a line between ALV-10 and -5, this would lower it, but that’s a small slice of the group.

Just set the trigger at the bottom of the LCW or 65 hours or something similar. If you do your job for Delta by having a line in the LCW, that should be enough to get the benefits of a GS.

There was a resolution for SS leveling at the last C44 meeting that didn’t even get a second.

Was the resolution written poorly? Why wouldn't it even get a second

Completely, vehemently, but respectfully disagree. Senior should not get first pick 3 times at premium. At a minimum, SS 100% needs a leveling (and no, pickup limit is not a leveling most of the time). IA is supposed to be Junior, but has been hugely perverted, let’s return that to its original purpose.

The “A” in ALV is average. So except for a few edge cases, most pilots would have a higher requirement if it was set at your original line value. I like the idea of bottom of LCW.

No, he said “Putting IBGS ahead of OOBWS”. My point was there is more than one way to skin that cat and get the same result.

I was shocked. It was not written poorly. Lots of resolutions get amended (as you know).

lots of senior in the room protecting their cheese.

Line guarantee is 65hrs…that’s what you have to get in credit for your SS/GS/QS to pay 200%. There…no more sr pilots dropping trips to pick Qs/SS at 200% all the time and no more moving of trigger.

Increase the use of bank to meet the trigger from 5hrs to 10hrs. So in theory, you can drop down to 55 hrs…use 10hrs from the bank to meet trigger and feel free to pick any SS/GS/QS. Also include a counter so everyone has a chance.
Holy crap some of us come up with the absolute WORST ideas. Hard no to that, wow.

Edit: trigger-less premium is a good thing. Why are we trying to get rid of that? Instead of disincentivizing guys from dropping terrible trips, why aren't we incentiving guys to keep good trips? Better trips, more PBSPR, etc. Please don't turn our extraordinary leverage into concessions.

Get rid of SS - a counter and one per PCS as a minimum.
Keep the GS trigger.
Spread 23M7 among the whole BES.
Move OOBWS below IBGS.

The old PB rules should come back into full force BEFORE we think about negotiating anything. And it needs to be contract language. Renegotiating something we already had? No thanks.

Sounds like Junior needs to show up to the council meetings.
