UA bought a ton of planes. There is no place to grow physically with gates and landing slots. They are flying to Mongolia and Greenland with NBs. I don't see how they make money with that kind of flying.

Problems at our company are internal and controllable once some changes are made. Why they have not gutted DBMS, and come up with a complete replacement and entire new section 23 in our PWA with enough $$ and QOL improvements for us to agree to it is beyond me. Maybe they just really like paying people lots of money to not work.

200+ cancellations so far today. Not for weather. This has got to have the attention of people that make decisions
Mongolia and Greenland, along with the rest of the Europe flying done on NBs are very profitable. It’s the reason they launched additional routes to secondary cities on the NBs. This was also the plan from the beginning. UA is about being big in secondary cities, big markets, but also the region.

Kirby also said that EWR being slot controlled was a positive. UA owns a ton of slots and now the operation runs more reliably at EWR than competitors in LGA/JFK.

UA plans on opening another base or two because of the amount of deliveries being taken on. Management is aware and are planning accordingly. I hope it’s AUS just so Ripin can glitch and lose it lol

The plan was for them to hold onto older 320 and 737’s much longer and the unplanned 777PW going down left and right will result in reduced hiring (as we’ve seen).

Increased hiring at UA post-summer is a whisper, no statement from management about “surging” NH classes post Summer.
Most of this are flat out lies or half truths at best. I gotta give it to you, the amount of lying you have to do to yourself to keep up the act is almost impressive lol

Got rid of Pb days…guess what? People that want PB days aren’t going to work in their days off at the end of the month.

Jokes on them. MEMORIAL WEEKEND will be interesting.

Why does UA keep coming up? This is internal to DAL and has nothing to do with SK/UA.

Because Ripin can't get Kirby out of his mind and is highly insecure about him. Kirby occupies free real estate in his mind and as such has to constantly defend against the boogeyman that nobody else mentioned.

Obviously biggest competitor to DL.

AA, WN, B6, are all not really making waves and have their own issues.

Good news is probably enough market share for DL and UA to not really hurt or be hurt by each other

And this is a good thing for the industry’s pilots. We need more than one thriving carrier to pattern bargain in a positive direction.

This 1000%.

DL and UA have very little overlap so more than enough market share to go around

Hard no to either of these. No thanks, we can keep current contract if those are company "must haves."

WS above RSV is sancrosanct in my opinion, it drives RSV utilization down and has a multiplier effect for swap/drop/premium opportunities, all apart from m7 and aa.

We put the cat in the bag on RRTE in C19, not willing to go backwards one inch.

Agreed, I am an instant NO on anything that touches soft pay and/or RR rules. I also don't think they should have better access to RES; hiring more pilots will make more RES available. It's simple (Here is a thought: use VAS). I will say this again, as I have said before. The belief that RES is mainly for junior folks is incorrect! RES is a fantastic option for senior individuals who value a better quality of life over money.
