I've been as consistent with that as I have been that my training at Coex was better than Delta's. And we used ASAPs a lot and the reports and FOQA were all published for us to read to further flt ops safety.

And what exactly has happened at CoEx since you left? More airplanes, new contracts, quicker upgrades, better QOL? Not so much, eh? That's the point. The system is set up to reward those who cut corners. I too worked at a regional with excellent training and a good safety culture. They're half the size they were when I was hired there in 2004. My current airline, I won't even comment on the training publicly because what I would tell you could get me fired. But hey, they're cheap, and that's all they needed to be awarded lots of that additional 76 seat flying. That's what we mean by the cost of outsourcing. Good airlines die, bad airlines thrive, the safety culture suffers.

Now that the TA is out and it stinks, I wonder if there is any chance we get to see ALPA's opener............... HUUUUMMMMMMMMM

well put. I am sure management is laughing at what our Union said yes to.

I don't want anyone I know on that airplane. They're out there flying all day today...hopefully everyone brought their A-game...and a cup of coffee?

You know you joke about that, but coffee was one of the main ways to 'combat fatigue' on my last CBT fatigue training.

I'm looking forward to this TA getting voted down followed by embarrassment on the part of both DALPA and the company. DALPA for failing to represent us and the company in front of its shareholders and analysts.

I think it'll pass. I'm a no vote though. Delta has never voted down a TA. Why would this be any different?

Especially after the press picked up on the honey sweet relationship Delta has with its pilots and an agreement being reached so many months in advance. Sure sounded good didn't it? Management looked like geniuses right up until the truth was uncovered.

Better get on the red phone linked to A4A and the Regional Airline Association to put the brakes on operation "symbiotic strategies" and stop the forgone conclusion that more EMB's should be purchased for Gojets.

Why didn't the chairman's letter mention giving up a huge chunk of our profit sharing checks?

For Reference:

Negotiator's Notepad 08-03

...It is important to recognize the industry and economic landscape against which this JCBA tentative agreement was reached.
We believe that given the financial and industry environment in which we find ourselves, this agreement provides significant gains for the Delta pilots.

Additionally, it positions Delta to make significant competitive strides in the coming years, especially in international markets, which would be reflected in profit sharing payouts
and, most important, in the prospect for a long‐term financially stable corporation which is in the best interests of all Delta pilots.
We unanimously endorse this agreement, your elected representatives have endorsed this agreement, and we recommend you vote in favor of ratification.

Maybe because we've got 5,000 former NWA guys? Just sayin...
