Im am insulted, ashamed, embarrassed, disappointed and pi$$ed off. Shame on our elected leaders for making us look like a bunch of chumps, not only to RA but to the rest of the industry.
-->My favorite spin from the chairman's letter for the upcoming set up is "difficult economic and negotiating environment."<---well it looks like you better negotiate and work harder.

Just where exactly have you been the last 10 years, my friend?

Hey man, the economy is down right now. Apple, Facebook and Delta should all be getting concessionary contracts with their employees right now....because HEY!...the economy is bad right now. Did I mention the economy is bad right now.....whoah dont look behind that curtain and see the stacks of money and gold bars. That's none of your beeswax!

I am specifically speaking of bar setting contracts.. (OK.. I should look at FDX and UPS I guess)... to whom are you referring?

It's our turn now because we are up to bat now. You don't step into the batters box thinking, "Hey. I got the game-winning hit yesterday, let someone else do it today."

If we are going to follow, or get out of the way, we shouldn't have been negotiating in the first place.

They don't want to talk about that.

In fact, this may be one of the most important things that management wanted from this negotiation. We are poised to hit the second stage trigger in our current profit sharing. Anderson needed to stop that from happening. That's the real urgency here. It is certainly possible that the loss of profit sharing will exceed the gain from higher pay rates.

We may have just negotiated a pay cut disguised as a raise.

The blurb about our TA on DALnet says voting ends June 30, why are we getting information about our contract from the company and not our union???????

Maddog Waddle 05-21-2012 12:50 PM

Hey we can save Delta's cost on toilet paper with all the "propaganda" the union will be sending us...

Oh that's right! $2B = 20% vice 15%, correct? That could lead to a 12-13% bump under the CURRENT contract!
