The MEC decided to send it to us, there are ramifications to that decision one way or the other, but we have now taken another step down the path. The protections in Section 1 that are real go in to effect July 1. In that light there are items in this agreement that most will not be happy with and many will vote No for. Wait and read the smallest of details. If scope or pay or work rules are non-starters, vote No and exercise you right.

The wording about future mainline jets for RJ growth is well worded, and many will see that as a gateway to their left seat. Section 1 is a product that all reps liked. Keep that in mind.

The cold hard truth is, there is a risk/reward with future plans, and protections in this agreement on a yes, or no vote. Make an informed and not emotional decision. Have a reason for your vote. The next 40 days are going to be one filled with a lot of debate and spin from all of us.

Except we can't. A TA that has been out for a week and not even bullet points. Only anger and angst over what many consider to be an insulting pay raise. The MEC has themselves to blame for getting people riled up and not providing them with sufficient information in a timely manner.

They chose not to because there was debate and differing opinions. We can see that from the vote split. Putting something out prior to the vote that may have needed modifications is not wise.

I am sure they are looking over the NNP and uploading the Live Contract to the web site. As soon as all of those involved sign off on it.

We screamed for them to enforce the seven day window and they did.

Oh and to point something out. The language in section 1 will, if the company adds a 117 seat jet, trigger significant hiring. You WILL FLOW. DCI will be shrinking by over 140 jets. Not saying it is good or bad, but it just is.

Read the agreement once someone forwards it to you.

TA has been posted on the DALPA Sec6 web page.

Yes, but will that shut us up long enough to read it?

The TA was achieved last week. The vote was this morning. As soon as the vote was taken and the TA passed, the details (at the bare minimum highlights) SHOULD be published to the pilots. Why do we have to read quotes from Jeff Smisek regarding our new scope section???

Be quiet and read. I'm starting Section 1... this will take several passes.

Looks like vacation goes from 3:00 to 3:15 and a fifth week has been added for over 19 years of service.

I was hoping for closer to 5:00.
