So the non-contracts get a 10% bump, which definitely puts them above pre-BK, but by 2015 we're still 15% below C2000? Uh...no thanks.

I don't care about 717s, they should have nothing to do with this contract. It's the 76 seat jets that have me concerned. What we give up in scope can NEVER be recaptured.
I can't comprehend why a Delta pilot would vote for anything that allows 70 more 76 seat jets. Fewer 76 seats will result in more mainline Delta pilots. More pilots is the best furlough protection one will ever have. |

Sorry, but this just isn't shiny enough to allow more 76 seaters. |

Second, Delta will increase the two-class 76 seat regional jet fleet by 70 airplanes, which will increase our total large RJ fleet from 255 to 325. "agreement in principle" only right now.... Second, congratulations on the 717s. Third, no. I am voting NO to 256 or more 51+ seaters. Go ahead and park the 717s. They'll be in good company with the other 9s and those cargo 742s among others. |

Are we negotiating for the entire company again with regards to the profit sharing? Is every other labor group going to lose out on 5% of the profit sharing plan or just the pilots? So much for "Winning Together".

That isn't all they like to keep secret. As sailing has pointed out there is another shoe to drop probably an aircraft order. The reps know about it but won't tell us but presumably it makes this TA good. It sure doesn't stand on its own.
It does seem like they love to have the info and not share it at least with us, but other competing company CEOs are included. Maybe we need some wikileaks help. The snapshot of block hour ratios doesn't happen for a couple years. And in the end management can still trump all else with a get out of jail free card paraphrased from the proposed contract: "if oil goes up or any other thing out of our control....which legally we can make the case for pretty much anything under the sun, moon and stars....we can outsource even more RJ's and other planes we think up later". Regardless of what PG, SF, Slow, etc tell you this contract is like swiss cheese and is spitting in the face of every single one of you as Delta pilots. You would have to be a freaking moron to accept this as is. Yet it will be sold/spun as a victory. Down the road when the loopholes are fully exploited ALPA will take no responsibility (they never do). They will simply say...."you the pilot group voted yes, deal with it....and reserve/commuting is a choice". WAKE UP pilots! Dont keep making the same mistake. Take ownership of your future and your union. Yes PG, Slow, etc hate the DPA, they want to maintain status quo and their FPL and nice lifestyle. Vote them off the freaking island. We can make the DPA a bottom up organization that borrows from the best of all pilots unions. Some said those who left Great Britain and who fought for independance in America were crazy too....for a while. In the end it was the only way to achieve the best life had to offer. It is time to get the ALPA monkeys off our backs and break free. ALPA secrecy, manipulation and self serving has gone on long enough! |
Well, I was patient enough to wait for the TA to be released and actually read it before I decided. Honestly, there are some good things but I just can't get past section 1. There's no way anyone can convince me 70 more large RJs are a good thing for this pilot group. I hate to become a one issue voter but I can't believe this was agreed to. We allowed 153 76 seaters with a gun to our head in BK. Now we're going to allow 70 more when Delta is making money. Quite frankly, they can keep the 50 seaters and fly them at a loss for all I care. This is crazy.
