I think we can consider the "pilots coming with 717s" issue officially dead. Very welcome news.

As soon as SWAPA and FL's MEC agrees...

I have a question for you. Why did they spend all the money to update NATCO only to get rid of it?

Or in October ATL 767 won't have surpluses, we just won't backfill. Then the next month put out an AE with ATL 76 MDs.

And if we want to go all legalize, wouldn't all the AirTran pilots be Delta new hires?

There is nothing say the airplanes come with pilots and they have to fly the airplane.

Just log on to Deltanet, & click on SD's latest update. It's right there in writing. :D

So is that a legally binding document?

I'll keep asking hard questions.

Some AirTran malcontents could still sue. That's true.
I've read their frag clause. I'd give that lawsuit a snowball's chance in hell.

Delta management was my main worry. Dickson put that to rest.

I agree. The AT pilots fragmentation clause looks very weak.

I don't know if the SD memo completely closes the book on the possibility (I still think they will try and maybe sue for the lottery chance...what's one more DFR, just pile on boys!) but it was nice to see.

Over all I like SD and color me naive but I at least believe he believes no pilots will come with. Then again I don't believe I will get into a car accident when I go to the store today, but I buckle up and buy legally enforceable insurance anyway, just in case, because the consequence of being wrong in my belief without it are pretty steep.
