They won't be able to force you over your 84 hour line, even at the highest ALV of the year. DPA doesn't change under the TA. ADG is added for the rare 88 day with a DH only. How exactly will you be working more that you currently are? Also, you'll be paid more than 20% more (88 guys get the extra bump to 90 pay) for that 84 hours in 2.5 years.

Here's a simple math exercise:

84 hour line at $100.14/hr (5 year 88 FO - current contract) = $8,411.76

84 hour line at $123.36/hr (still 5 year 88 FO - TA on 1/1/2015) = $10,362.24

I didn't include longevity steps for this pilot to keep it apples-to-apples. The difference = $1950.48/month

So you will be working the same number of days (to get the same monthly line) for nearly an extra $2000/month in 2.5 years. This is on the 2nd smallest paying aircraft we have.

I'm still failing to see what you're concerned with?? If you want to work a little less, then bid a lower time line - same as today.

Wrong. You don't get 5:15 a day with a reserve line today and you won't get it with this TA either.

Nobody cared. Someone needs to share in my joy.

I'm truly happy for you. Any problems getting out? Is it push or pull? :D

I don't think he was referring to reserve. A reserve guy wouldn't know if he's working 16 days next month, he'd only know if he's on call for 16 days. And technically it's 18 days, unless he has a planned absence.

You do if you work 14 duty periods on your on-call days. Unfortunately, deadhead only duty periods don't count.

Just a few more questions for those "in the know."

1.) Didn't the company announce pay raises for other employee groups earlier this year/late last year?

2.) If so, were these pay raises forecast to be as "cost neutral/paid for" for the company as our TA is?

He didn't say he was on reserve. He said he was working 16 days in July, which means (okay maybe vacation, MLOA, etc) he is a REG pilot who will get DPA.

What exactly was wrong about my post?

The other work groups that received raises will be working more.

Not an Apple hater (in fact I may have to buy an iPad for the convenience of the new electronic pubs) but on my Android phone my alternative keyboard allows me to delete the auto corrects that I don't like and continues to learn from my writing styles. Just couldn't get into the Apple iPhone (didn't think much of WP7 either).

Obviously, you don't live and work at LAX. You show me a line (except maybe a few super senior guys) that has a line that averages 5:15/day (especially with those wonderful 10:30 3 days). So, your numbers are a delusion for me.
