Everyone I know that has an iPad loves it. For me, there is something about how Apple wants to force you to do everything their way that ticks me off. They remind me of how Microsoft was back in the mid 80's where they tried to make sure that all other software wouldn't work on the next iteration of Windows/DOS. Now it is Apple that won't let you listen, read, or watch anything on your tablet unless you buy it from them. I know that is an exaggeration but they really seem heavy handed.
When they gave him their content to sell, he had a responsibility to make sure that sold content was not later given away to another party downline. For what it's worth, their are applications that allow you to play virtually any content on any apple device. Look at VLC if you're trying to do it. |
I had one our Fed's on the JS coming out of DCA not long ago and he mentioned that if Delta wanted Ipads it'd get approved but "your CEO does not like Apple." Okay. As an iphone owner I can see why.
Then I've had someone from management and a LCA mention the reason he doesn't like Apple is because we have major contracts with Microsoft. My understanding it's both out of SEA on travel and with our IT. If all of that is true, I'm fine with it. It's that old axiom of don't show up on a sales call at a Chevy factory driving a Ford. Besides, we get a great deal on MS Office and Windows makes more sense to me then whatever the heck is going on with my wife's Mac. "Where did that window go?" |
Can you buy insurance to help pay for your insurance premiums? :D

Disregard...

I'm still curious how they plan on keeping hem from being stolen? I'm assuming they would leave them on the aircraft? |

I voted. I hope the Delta pilots win.

Where do we go to get this "great deal"?
Move forward until you can get to the search engine and then put in Microsoft Office. Should find it and pop it up. I just checked. FWIW, buy the backup CD too. |

how about the extra short-call day, and one less X day? Would that start in July too?
X-days The TA provides for one additional X-day in a position for which the reserve guarantee is 72:00 – 74:59 (ALV of 72:00 – 76:59). This will result in 13 X-days in a 30-day bid period and 14 X-days in a 31-day bid period. The number of X-days in a position for which the reserve guarantee is 75:00 or greater (ALV of 77:00 or greater) will remain unchanged at 12 X-days in a 30-day bid period and 13 X-days in a 31-day bid period. At any ALV, in a category for which the reserve staffing is at least 20%, each reserve pilot will receive one X-day in addition to the number above |
