By my logic the cost of replacing my car is mine, not my chauffeur's.

By your's, I'm supposed get the chauffeur to pay for as much of my new car as he's feeble minded enough to do.

Of course, if he's stupid enough to fall for it, he ain't smart enough to be allowed to drive the damn thing any way.

At least you're being honest. I can respect that.

I agree, but let’s not forget, all of your profits should go to your driver. He doesn't really care if you should ever need to replace your car in the future. He is not concerned about operating costs or competition in the workforce. After all, that’s your problem isn’t it? He also doesn't care that you have other employees and other debt to pay. The hell with them all. After all, he didn’t make any of those business decisions required to run the company. Especially the bad decisions. He just expects to take advantage of all the good decisions. The bad decisions you should be willing to eat. After all, if it weren't for him, you wouldn't even own a car. “Yeah, that’s it. That’s the Ticket. And my Wife, Morgan Fairchild, no Cindy Crawford, Yeah, that’s it.”

And you will not see it in writing because it is 18 days on call for a 73 hour guarantee.. But it is much more fun to run with a rumor instead of getting the facts.

I can see the similarity:

Anderson says "We can acquire a fleet of 717s but only if the pilots agree to the following conditions... which will save us $ xxx millions for their purchase"

And when the pizza management says "We can acquire a new oven but only if the pizza cooks agree to the following conditions... which will generate $ xxx for the new ovens"

True colors just displayed Waves? Hopefully I misread it.

For other's reference, here is the last statement referred to:

Didn't apply DAL, MSP and DTW based for the past 15 years.

He expects to be paid to do his job well and be properly compensated for it, he does not expect nor should he be expected to pay for my mistakes, my maintenance, my Mercedes or my mistress.

Good one dragon! I can relate my friend. Look, in twenty some years I have voted yes only once and I lived to regret that decision. It was the 777 PRP issue. Sucka! You might recall the issue was that if we didn’t allow the most senior dudes who [unexpectedly, yeah whatever] took their pensions and ran, to come back and temporarily fly the 777’s, we would have to park the aircraft. Sucka! Parking the aircraft didn’t sound like a good business strategy to me at the time. Of course the company promised to train guys as fast as possible if we voted it in. I may be wrong on the numbers, but as I recall, in a year’s time only 7 Captains were trained so ALPA just extended the deal. Sucka! Having said all of that; I actually don’t relish the idea of a YES vote with this TA, but this time I am compelled to do so for all of the reasons I have previously listed. I won’t pretend to be able to regurgitate speculative numbers of the TA one way or the other, like some of the smarties on this thread (and there definitely are some here). What I actually closely follow are Politics, Economics, and Global Affairs. You know, the bigger picture. Unfortunately one of my degrees is in business, so I just can’t get away from it completely. I should have been a Doctor instead. See, yet another bad decision by me. I digress. Imagine my frustration when I see illogical posts advocating ignoring the economy, our business model, our domestic and foreign competitive environment, and above all, global events. Hello, we are now a global air carrier. FYI: See my first ever upload. Should we just ignore the unprecedented world events as just normal everyday occurrences? Many comments imply that these events are just normal cycles. OMG are they ever wrong. Unless some major corrections happen soon, they will soon lament how wonderful it used to be. I would give my left nad to be wrong. I don’t think surgery will be necessary anytime soon. I choke when I see posts acting like DAL is now invincible and huge profits are surely ours. After a decade of severe losses and now a few recent short profitable quarters, so many are poised for the attack. I guess that is our nature. Lest no one take advantage of us and our skills.
