Sounds like there is some merit to the article however it seems very bias towards the Airbus. I keep hearing our most profitable route is TLV- JFK which is flown with the 744. Im sure it would be somewhat better if the 380 were on it. Bring them on!!!! In terms of super premimum widebodies, we have a long way to go to catch up with UAL/CAL: 74 -777 24-744.
Well, now that Airbus is going to be building airplanes just down the road from the ATL, in Mobile, AL, it should be no problem to get them to throw a few our way...right?
I mean, now that we have voted in that T/A and all, and Delta has 'refinanced' some of the fleet, I'm sure Richard is just about to put in that new, big, widebody order....Right?
I mean, all those old 767ER's and 75's aren't getting any younger!
Oh wait, we have a bunch of 737's coming to replace those...

I'm all for it. I hate these ULR trips, I'd be on the 717 based in MCO in a NY minute! Or perhaps what ever is flying the 24hr. layovers in St. Marten, but if I never see NRT or JNB or DXB again, it will be too soon!
Now...if we just had a rational way to negotiate a COLA, and a retirement plan...

read the comments on the article Boeing and the 747,especially the -8 get their own back and then some, the A380 is a white elephant, wing cracks and the paint is barely dry?
Rumor is that some Chinese airline has had two A-380s grounded for 6 months to a year due to cracks. That's making some money fo sho.

I'll be pretty tempted the next time we have an AE.

The 'bunk' I want to sleep in is in a motel. After 8 hours of flying, I don't like saying, "Hey, we're half way home..." I want a cold brew and a soft, non-motion, bed, even if it's only for 9 hours in RDU.
Oh, and I'd like to learn how to fly again...one leg a month ain't doin' it for me.
