To be honest, the only thing I saw was something along the line of we know the pay rates didn't quite measure up.
How quickly you forget that the NNP's and also the roadshow presentation showed that ALV/summer months calendar change could result in up to 300 less pilots needed in staffing for reserves. That was harped upon relentlessly on this board, of course they like to forget about the 175 positions added due to staffing changes also. But I think you get the point.

Got to say I don't think the MEC was hiding the aspect that aspect of the new PWA.

Chairman's Letter dated June 15 is just one place. There are plenty of others.

Ok, I guess I've been a bit hard on the NNP. They did talk about the lost pilot jobs and did mention it was in order to accomplish the higher reserve guarantee.

I guess you're right. I was hoping for something better and try as I could, I just couldn't get behind this contract. I'll work under it, but won't ever expect the ba$tards I pay to look out for the pilot group again.

By my logic the cost of replacing my car is mine, not my chauffeur's.

By your's, I'm supposed get the chauffeur to pay for as much of my new car as he's feeble minded enough to do.

Of course, if he's stupid enough to fall for it, he ain't smart enough to be allowed to drive the damn thing any way.

At least you're being honest. I can respect that.

I agree, but let’s not forget, all of your profits should go to your driver. He doesn't really care if you should ever need to replace your car in the future. He is not concerned about operating costs or competition in the workforce. After all, that’s your problem isn’t it? He also doesn't care that you have other employees and other debt to pay. The hell with them all. After all, he didn’t make any of those business decisions required to run the company. Especially the bad decisions. He just expects to take advantage of all the good decisions. The bad decisions you should be willing to eat. After all, if it weren't for him, you wouldn't even own a car. “Yeah, that’s it. That’s the Ticket. And my Wife, Morgan Fairchild, no Cindy Crawford, Yeah, that’s it.”

And you will not see it in writing because it is 18 days on call for a 73 hour guarantee.. But it is much more fun to run with a rumor instead of getting the facts.

I can see the similarity:

Anderson says "We can acquire a fleet of 717s but only if the pilots agree to the following conditions... which will save us $ xxx millions for their purchase"

And when the pizza management says "We can acquire a new oven but only if the pizza cooks agree to the following conditions... which will generate $ xxx for the new ovens"
