I agree, but I think we all know that ALPA won't ever make a strong push for it. I think from what I gather, NWA set their pilots up with a room, but I'm not sure.
Just as dalpa blindly accepted DPJs 100,000 lb inclusion into the TA, you think they would have at least "thrown in" hotel rooms for new hires as a quid. There was a quid, right? Yet another pulling up of the ladder one rung at a time. |

The argument was made that those jets "greatly help" DAL reign in corporate accounts which of course is good for the DAL pilot............ |

RES now pays ALV-2 for your category (restricted to 72-80 hours or 72hr ALV - good for you, 84hr ALV bad for you). You're now considered full when you reach or exceed the ALV but you can be assigned a trip that takes you as high as ALV+15. As always you're paid the higher of your guarantee or your monthly accumulated credit.

So, what was the quid? Giving that up HAD to be worth quite a bit. We received something, no? Pilots helping or "conceding" to bring in corporate accounts??
Of course not posed to you, ACL as I know you agree. This was "costed", no? Who knows. Ask you reps, but, from what I understood, we did not take a bargaining credit on the CJ50 swap. There have been a few comments that the 23 IOE recovery obligations were traded for this, but I had not seen anything in formal print. |

Second year pay in 86 was 36.00 an hour. Lets see, then 36 for year 2 and this contract 91. We really yanked the ladder up on the junior guys!!! The senior pilots pay has soared compared to the bottom!!! NOT!!! |

Of course no single pay rate has gone up more since I was hired then the new hire pay rates and first 5 year rates. First year pay when I was hired was 1500 a month. It went to 1800 a month for a long time after. Senior Captains then made about 180,000 a year.

One guy has some seniority and sits a couple feet to the left... but they're both pilots flying jets for Delta. That is a spread that should've, and is in the process, of being fixed. |
When does the new sick leave intimidation policy go into effect? I haven't seen it in any of DALPA's implementation products.
For something DALPA touted as a "good deal" for us, they're pretty quiet about it now...nothing in TO's letter or anywhere else to spike the football over this "improvement." |
