I am aware that New hire Pilots have housing paid for during the first 2 weeks of indoc and then you are on your own.

Can anyone give me details of what they have done?
Hotel, Crashpad, RV,
How long is the training footprint?

Trying to plan ahead of time and start saving $ towards this time so thats one lest thing to worry about.

Thanks

Tell us more. Your confidence might confirm a rumor going around.

There are lots of crash pads in College Park. There is no college and no park, but plenty of crash pads.

There's a park. It just looks like a cemetary.

Anyone have the time or the patience to explain how the swap board really works?

If I want to pick up a trip, does my schedule have to be clear for the days that operate?

Is there a way for me to pick up a trip, and not have to give up a trip I already have on my line in the blind without knowing if I can get the trip beforehand?

Ok. Those are the two main questions.

Newk;

If its the pilot to pilot swap board and a guy has it as a drop or swap, if you try to pick it up, it will go thru if its legal.

Shiz answered the DBMS swapboard part...I don't mess with it really. If you've got something that sux, dump it and put in a wildcard pickup for the number of day trip you want when you want it...60-70% chance of success (which means 30-40% chance of failure).

That was announced several weeks ago. Analysts still expect a profit of 68 cents a share which is much more than last year. The company expects to set aside 125 to 150 million for profit sharing according to the sec filing.

A couple hundred a month max for a pad or you can splurge for $40-50 a night for hotels, you can split with a bud, only need a room 4-5 nights a week . Footprint will depend on AC type, training delays at the time (varies a lot with AC) but between 1 to 2 months in most cases. Again, a couple hundred a month. While I wish DL would pay for hotels though initial sims, its honestly a minor expense.

I thought they said 150M hit from that, but revenue is up so who knows.

A "swap with the pot" is only going to be awarded if the days dropped (and not covered up with the new trip) are above min coverage.

A "swap board" pickup has to be over off days, or you can personal drop your trip that is on your schedule and then pick up the trip from the swap board.

A personal drop and swap with the pot are both processed on a PCS run.
A swap board transaction can occur at any time.

PM if you want more info.

There will be some supposedly, but Brent crude has climbed back up above $100, so I don't think future hedge losses for the next few will be as high.
