...and now for something completely different...

PCS experts, does reserve coverage have to be sufficient for every day of a rotation that I want to drop for another one? IE, if I want to drop a 3 day and pick up another 3 day, does there have to be excess reserve levels for all 3 days?

I think the way it works is the reserve coverage sum of all three days your trying to trade from has to be better than what your trading to. However, if any of those days are capped it won't let you trade either. I think the only way to find that out is to put in your request and see what it spits out. If it' says capped reserve days you'll know.

Exciting News

So I guess there was no exciting news this week, other than the 215 Retirements, or did I miss it?

Tom Watson is leading the British Open by a stroke at the end of the 3rd round... and Tiger Woods is watching it on TV!!! What could be better than that? :D

Lance is still in the hunt! Speaking of Lance, I asked him about the SLI and he said, and I am quoting, " It is what it is - move on and enjoy life, I've only got one nut left but you don't see me wanking!"

Scoop :)

I wasn't kidding about the red dress!!!:)

This is the first acknowledgement I've seen by a junior DAL-S of real-world "seniority vs. position". The ER was a good deal while it lasted but it wouldn't have lasted, even stand-alone. As the seniority/positions become more rationalized in the South before SOC, there will be less "positive anticipation" by the North F/Os of the easy, low-hanging fruit of immediate WB upgrades, and less complaining by South guys about North guys going for it.

Carl, I'm glad you agree the SLI was fair, we agree on that! Somehow, though, it's a little nostalgic thinking about all the little "battles" we all had over the SLI last year......in a sick way, I suppose, it was kinda fun...them was sorta the "good 'ole days"...wasn't they?;) I think when we are truly combined, we are going to make a great airline!

Now, for some bit**ching: We've lost Rome on the ER in ATL. First to the 330 and now this fall to that lumbering dog the 767-400! (not to mention all the upcoming surpluses seem to have 767 and 767ER written all over them.) and, in the scene from the Godfather during the big meeting of the mob bosses: (paraphrasing Vito Corleone: "I'm going to blame some of the people in this room for this...");)

If they're over the same days your golden. If not, there has to be adequate coverage on the day of report of the trip you're dropping.

So if I drop a trip with adequate coverage on the sign in day and pick up a trip, on a different day, that has adequate reserve coverage I'm good to go?
