And lastly, remember folks, even when making an unexpected out of the ordinary barrel roll to an off airport landing, there will be someone in the back who thinks it's a lot of fun (note girl bottom right)

seriously, you have one thing to do in a D-E-N-Z-E-L Washington movie, act scared, and you laugh. It's worse at full speed. #@%@#%!Q$

Don't necessarily agree with that, but the 35% hiring clause is especially full of outs, caveats and qualifiers. As I said when guys were complaining about it being in there at all; it is a throwaway clause just put in there to make the RJ guys feel a little better about us putting so many of them out of work via our new scope language.

I don't know if it was that one per se, but yes.

I'm not exactly excited anymore when I see a mostly or all 90 trip.

I'm with you. Now that the pay disparity is fixed, I'd just as soon have all 88s. Much less Llama Drama.

That's kinda what I have been thinking. Problem is that I just bought a new Toshiba laptop in the Spring and have a fairly new home PC. Guess I'll go the pilot way(Cheaper). So with that being said, does anyone have the Galaxy or the EVO 4G LTE?

I'm also looking to get out of my old (original Sprint EVO.) My family is totally an Apple family sans iPhones. I made a similar request on my FB and all replies were pro iPhone except 3 (out of 36.) Here is a reply from a good friend I went to HS w/ and who is a current DAL F/A:

I have the new Evo LTE. It's wicked fast, holds a charge for a ridiculous amount of time (that was a big problem with the old Evo), has the best phone camera to date, a screen that's more than an inch bigger than the iPhone, a faster processor, double the RAM, built-in FM radio, Flash support, NFC (which will become very common within a year), perfect Gmail integration, a kickstand (something I loved from the last Evo), turn-by-turn voice navigation. And something the iPhone will never have without hacking it and voiding the warranty, then paying for a costly app; the ability to tether your cell phone and use it as a wireless router for your laptop using FoxFi, for free. Which comes in super handy if you're a traveler.
My lady has the iPhone 4. I use hers from time to time and am always disappointed. From a objective standpoint, the two don't even compare. The iPhone 4 is old tech. But I the iPhone 5 is sure to be remarkable. If you can wait until it comes out in a month or two, you'll probably have a fair comparison.

I was sold on getting a 4S but am now rethinking the new EVO LTE.

You guys have literally paid your dues for years, you deserve a higher status than all those "non-members". 35% was NOT enough. It should have been ONLY ALPA pilots can be hired if the pilot is coming directly from another US airline (unless presently furloughed from an ALPA carrier).

If ALPA was a real union, and companies were a real union shop, furloughed and other union members with qualifications would have first shot at all union jobs prior to non-union types. ALPA needs to find a way to create more value in being a union member throughout the profession.

I'd rather that Delta hires the best guys that they can find. I don't want a new guy that can't find his ass with both hands, even if he was a dues-paying ALPA member at a regional airline.

The current hiring clause is fine with me.
