How do you check someone else's schedule? I have a note on my current schedule in icrew saying someone looked at mine. Anyone know how?

Thanks.

Personnel Data....Look up employee...Should be option to check schedule there (also contact information, if needed)

From what I've been told, your able to see who looks at your schedule since certain DALPA reps were having their schedules posted in the crew rooms.

Every time I get a green slip (which is extremely rare) or other "good deal", I get several hits from guys checking my schedule. It's usually somebody checking the trip coverage sequence. Sometimes I get one that I just can't figure out. No big deal, as long as it isn't some crazy-assed flight attendant stalking you.

Good post f16dude.

We want people to be checking other pilots' schedules. The more the better.
That is the primary way we have of contract enforcement, PBS monitoring and to make sure that crew scheduling is following the trip assignment sequence. Reserves also routinely check other people's schedules to see why certain trips did or did not get assigned to them.

A lot of schedule checking also goes on when there is an AE active. Guys want to see what their seniority can hold in other categories.

Nobody should ever be offended that someone looked at their schedule.
Its not an invasion of privacy. Its an important tool for enforcing our contract.

+1
Also, folks may check your schedule trying to give you stuff... for example, I often want to get rid of a trip or two each month, decent trips.
First I try to drop a trip, but anything touching a weekend is usually unable (and THAT is what we have to look forward to in the future with higher reserve utilization!). Next I post on the swap board... but usually I'm the only trip on there, and no one seems to look at it. Last, I try to give it away to someone who may want extra time and can take it.

I usually look at the wide report to see who COULD take the trip (lots of open time around my trip), then I check their schedule to see if they still have open time there. Then I email them offering them the trip if they want it. I've got a couple takers before who were thankful for it, but just weren't guys who spent much time tweaking their schedules.

I should have paid more attention to this napkin I found last Apr, it turns out to have been prophetic advertising/PR groundwork by the company...

I pointed that out to my ALPA Rep one day in the lounge. Asked if it was part of the company sales-pitch on the contract. He seemed to feel that it was not.

If we get walked on a layover from a downtown hotel to airport hotel (30 hour layover) are we allowed to expense taxi's to downtown area, the other hotel responsible or none of the above. The accomodations lady said to expense it. Is this true? Thanks.

If you've got a 30 hour layover and they put you at an Airport hotel, I think you should rent a Harley for a day, and expense it as 'transportation costs'!

Good try. I am way junior to you:)
