So what happened to October bid? Did it go the way of the supposed hiring SD intimated for late 2012 if we voted in the contract?

-> Hiring thousands soon!
-> Hiring nearly a thousand pretty soon!
-> Hiring in the fall!
-> AE in the fall, hiring next spring!
-> AE next spring (maybe), no mention of hiring
-> ???????

When a guy does this to a girl, it's called letting her down easy. We put out - signed that TA for them. Now we are wondering whether they really love us, or were they just saying that late at night in the back of the car? Our mommas always told us, why buy the cow when you can buy all the milk in Alaska, France, and the Netherlands for free (or something like that). We might get mad at them now for taking advantage of us. They're not worried, though. They'll see us again in about three years, tell us how beautiful we look, and we'll forget all about this time.

Our ideal scenario would be to close the DC9 and open the 717 on a single bid in order to provide a smooth transition and to minimize training.
We already figured that one out.

[September] Domestic category pilot hours (year-over-year) are down 2.0% primarily due to a reduction in DC9 and 767 time.
Shocked.

Well, not really. Interesting to see that every month this year we dropped the domestic pilot block hours year-over-year.

So the 717 trips will be very similar to DC-9 trips?

Does that mean 22 leg 5 day trips on the 717? With air conditioning, probably doesn't even seem like work. Still.

Too bad the airport at eastgate and the one in Issaquah are gone. If my wife decides she's had enough of me I'm gonna head west and be the plug in Seattle.

I love it up here! Went to Oak Harbor High School. All you west coast ex-Navy guys should recognize that!:) My Dad's a retired Navy pilot (retired in '69 and he's still kickin'!) and still lives up there. You gotta convince her to come out here!!:)

Did anyone make any phone calls to figure out why the raw scores dropped? I'm curious.

Haha, spot on! And yes many in this pilot group will forget and repeat. It's just the way it is.

I got a green slip. Instead of raising my raw score, they dropped everyone else's.
