George,
Do you anticipate a problem with compliance with the AF/KLM JV? For perspective the split between DAL and AFKLM flying has been on a 3-year divergent trend in favor of the Europeans. In fact this winter schedule has us dipping below the 45% EASK line, a new three-year low...

Do you expect the AF / KLM JV to be renegotiated prior to the remedial action?

The way I see this; it could begin as a codeshare, then become a JV. I do not think anti trust immunity would be a problem. The regulators would like to see an operator to counter BA's dominance.

Of course the cart is miles in front of the horse ... but I'd like to think through some ideas on how we would want to exert labor protection provisions.
The production balances our MEC has brought forward are a very good concept to deal with a highly complex labor situation. Nothing is jumping out to me as a way to improve substantially on what we have, other than to tighten the language, measurement periods, remedies and growth provisions. What do you think? I'd say the NC was aware of this and did it right for the Virgin Australia LOA. This rumored VAtlantic deal would most likely benefit Singapore and by extension VAustralia. If VAustralia brigs their flying up to 3 daily US RTs +1 more weekly flight, we get to double our Austalaisa flying and share any growth beyond that 50-50. Cheers George |

Yes you are. You just did. As a former NWA I wish there was a big 'ole middle-finger smiley to post. Note to mods: before deleting my post I hope you recall tsquare's use of the same statement that resulted in no removal. |

His recruiting capabilities might be good, but he has not had to recruit in the black hole of Tennessee before... in the SEC. THAT is a distinct difference in what he has done in Florida versus what he is doing now at UL. Not to mention that his resume ain't all that sparkling at this point. |

Charlie Strong is not a popular choice in Knoxville... so I am sure he will be the guy. That is Mr. Murphy's take anyway.

And they have Hog Girl. And they have Hog Girl singing about the new Arkansas coach... watch it... What do you expect? It's one of those fan bases, the other is nearby our ATL base, that makes animal noises when a teenager kicks a ball to another teenager. It's hard to take those kind of fan bases seriously. :D |
