I saw a lot of people screaming how we should have no problem flying 76 seaters at mainline. Air Canada does! Well Air Canada stood their ground on scope and went to arbitration. Look what it got them.

In addition to lowered salaries (4th year FO on ANY aircraft makes just $67K/yr...which is not enough to live on in Canada when over half of that is taxed and the cost of living is very high), but scope is completely wiped out.

The new contract provides Air Canada with the ability to get rid of 60 A320s and 60 Embraer 190s. The purpose of this is so they can send the aircraft to their new OFFSHORE BASED (yes thats right) Low Cost Carrier.
You fellas think the scope erosion on the Delta TA was bad?...

You have ZERO idea how I would vote. And comparing what they voted on to what we voted on is apples to oranges.

Bring on the new hires before this place starts melting down further!!
Fly,

Looking at the contract implementation schedule ALV+15 doesn't start until Dec., so they cannot take you over ALV without a YS. You can request to be shown full at ALV-2 and enjoy a few extra days off--or you can YS and go for the money. Maybe a good time to explore rolling some thunder.

You need to read and understand your contract. Your 110 hour of credit on reserve this month is only possible if you choose not to enforce your contract. If you have also been flown the first 11 days of the month then you are do at least 11 days off in the remaining 19 days. In addition you can not be sent out on any trip that puts you over the ALV.

Sorry, just can't agree with that. You'd have me vote against Rubio when he comes up for reelection against some Dem who'd further the nanny state? Hmmmm...I'm gonna say no.

Good news is ... the house did not burn down and the musical equipment was unplugged.

Sorry to hear that BB. Let me know how that surge protector $25,000 guarantee works out. But seriously, I hope you can recover as much as possible. Which brings me to the question, anyone have any experience with one of those online back up companies? Good..bad?
