Ya'll are really reaching tonight... His posting history doesn't slander the airline.
I've known him for a long time, too. He's a well spoken and mannered pilot. Not to mention his posts on the TA were some of the best written.

How come we haven't seen you motivated and pushing for improvements in our own CBA? You've been there 5 1/2 years and the CPZ CBA is still not a good one. Where is the loyalty to your own pilot group? Have you run for office, volunteered to do committee work? Or is your preferred method of "pilot improvement" merely webboard related? Get out of here and go DO something that improves the profession...... You'll gain a lot more respect among the "2/3 rocking chair lives" that you have denigrated(before you've even put on a Delta uniform). |
Looking for wisdom on the use of a pay-back day...I have one PB day leftover from last month, and I'm looking for gouge on how best to use it. Can I drop a multi-day trip with it? Can I pick up over the same days? Etc., etc.
Thanks |

Thanks I don't think you can use it to drop regular line trips. You can either use it as a reserve X day or add it to your vacation. A reserve pilot who is eligible for an additional day(s)-off under Section 23 S. 11. – 14. will: a. take such day(s)-off in the current or a future bid period, by mutual agreement with Crew Scheduling, or b. have such day(s) added to a current year vacation period(s), by mutual agreement with Vacation Planning, or c. have such day(s) added to his earned vacation for the next vacation year, if not used in the current vacation year. That's just a guess though. I'm not real sure of all the rules on PB days. |

Can't understand why these regional guys are tired of outsourcing. I mean it has been great for their careers and alll.
Everyone is frustrated we get it...or did get it...long before you guys went past personal attacks to personal threats to someones career. Can't imagine the response from that. Xtreme, My favorite are the Regional guys who constantly complain about DAL Pilots for relaxing Scope over the years. While I agree our Scope relaxation has been disappointing there is plenty of blame to go around. Lets put this in perspective. These are for the most part guys who took advantage of the DCI growth and got hired on with the regionals. Now that they have their hours and are ready to move on to the majors outsourcing is bad and it is clearly the fault of "greedy" DAL Pilots "selling" Scope at every opportunity. Here we have a "typical" DAL Pilot contemplating the latest Scope sale. http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_nSU6L_WlSk...0/dick9we3.jpg What is more selfish then the Regional Pilot who votes yes for outsourcing by taking the job in the first place and then as soon as he is ready to move to the majors bemoans the whole practice. Talk about raising the ladder behind you. Scoop |

Doesn't the aircraft also operate out of JFK? To Tel Aviv and Asia? Or is that down guaging this fall? You're also forgetting about charters. :)

The latest and greatest about 2 anonymous regional pilots thread is getting really stale. Can we please have more:
1. McKayla Memes. 2. Hiring rumors 3. T-Square/Carl rematches 4. Airplane rumors 5. Underboob 6. A/E rumors 7. Really anything |

By outsourcing, we have made entry level positions as much of a career as there is to be had. By breaking our definition of alter ego, we have left their world a place of brutal competition with no where else to go (except the expat life or backwards.) We did the right thing (generally) with C2012. It is in our mutual interest to see Delta hire as flying is transferred back. |
