That is the impossible transition. What was he thinking?

I agree this is something that should be fixed. However, it's not going to happen. I pushed pretty hard right after the JCBA was signed to get this done.

There were 4-5 of us that followed up for awhile, but the answer was (and I'm sure still is) that every faction of the pilot group has some injustice that they would like to see pursued or "made right."

Another example for our small slice of the seniority list is the fact that 2010 DAL hires were/are getting a higher DC contribution, despite the fact that our little group did not have a DB plan (this was the explanation that was given for why fnwa received a lower DC.)

While I think both of these issues should be taken care of yesterday, I accept that compromises were made during the merger negotiations. We unfortunately did not have much of an advocacy because we were mostly still on probation (couldn't vote for the JCBA) and were such a small group that it probably just fell through the cracks.

I wish you luck in pursuing this, but my recommendation would be to be happy with where we have gone since the merger. I know my pay is significantly higher than I was expecting it to be by year 5/6 at NWA.

Maybe I'm a defeatist, but I just don't see this as a battle worth fighting - especially 4 years after the fact.

Lots of things happen in the course of contract negotiations. It's rarely a junior senior issue. When Dalpa changed the company offered flat 9 percent DC plan into a targeted plan giving the senior guys nothing because of the frozen DB plan we were told that should the DB plan be terminated we would be made whole on the DC money. It never happened. When the note money was negotiated in case the DB plan went away we were told it would be distributed according to what each pilot had lost in his frozen DB plan. After running the numbers it was ugly for junior pilots so they reran the numbers giving pilots a minimum 205000 FAE to smooth out the distribution. The numbers still were not good for junior pilots so the added a minimum years of service distribution. The original plan to distribute the note money as compensation for each pilots loss was dead at that point. I guess Dalpa was out to get the senior guys.

Wish we could have "paused" LSU  Congrats to the real Tigers, they kicked our *utt.

On the good side, it looks like McKayla's older sister is a USC cheerleader (pouty face on left, blonde on right is already texting to get a good seat in 5 points)

I saw another guy a month later doing the same thing, except he was coming from the right seat of the 76. I had my suspicions, and had to ask "Why?" His answer was that one reason was it would allow him to get preferential bidding to the 73 when the 9 went out of service.

Agreed. He got that ball all the way across, and he didn't even need to for a TD.

T,

I'll admit I turned it off after the 6th run was tallied for the Nats. I just had the feeling it want our night. I came back to see the Cards 4th run, but then someone struck or and I switched it off again. Then I was awoke by multiple texts and phone calls. I knew exactly why, but couldn't believe it. I turned on the TV and watched the post game. Just unbelievable.

Do we have to submit for a medical refund? I thought they just credited us when our new medical went on file?

Medical reimbursement is automatic now - nothing to submit.

As Wilbur said, the FAA medical refund is automatic. I just mentioned the other part in case you (the generic you) ever have to submit expenses like a taxi etc.

Kind of on the same subject, If I remember correctly, we do not need to submit training "time away from base" any more. Isn't it automatic now too?

Denny

but he wasn't down. auburn won the NC on a play like that and yesterday Ole Miss scored a 55 yarder with such a play.

I didn't have a dog in the fight but if he never hit the ground, don't blow the whistle and let replay take care of the rest.
