You then get to jump through hoops to get up to $600 more. The hoops you have to jump through are to me none of Delta's business. I feel they are personal decisions that Delta should have no part in. Does anyone have any experience with the diamond HSA or DPMP? I am strongly considering the DPMP option.

I am looking at the Active Employee Summary right now. Employee + Family is $1500 HRA money from Delta. Deductibles went up to $1150 pp/ $3450 Family.

Where did you get $1000/ family?

The Health Rewards are on top of the HRA money.

I was tempted with the DPMP (closest to the leaving PPO) however DIAMOND is better for my family.

Agreed.

Until we an get the DPMP back to a co-pay plan with the same premiums, I'll be going to the Diamond, glad I spent all my notional Delta Dollars in my HRA this year!

Definite kudos to the NC for improving the DPMP so much, the enhancements, the reduction of premiums made it a very difficult choice. $50-100 less in premiums and first dollar into a 15/85 split will get me to switch for sure.

I believe in 2014 it is decreased to $1000, but by doing 3 very easy things you can raise it to $1600.

Hi Everyone,

While we're all debating the merits of each plan there is a GREAT PLANNING tool on the web site that will take last years costs and tell you exactly how much you would pay (premiums, co-pays, deductibles, out of pockets) for EACH plan (Gold, Silver, DPMP, Ruby, Diamond, etc) for the new year. While there is no guarantee that your health care needs will be the same this year it does give you another piece of data to help you with the decision. I'm not eligible for any HSA plans (no military retiree is) so my choice is Gold, Silver or DPMP (Tricare Prime does not work well if you're outside of a major met area).

Note that the Diamond HSA is also eligible for the $600 bump, and with the HSA the money is in your name, not the company's.

I stand corrected. The Health Rewards don't start until 2014. The Gold HRA is still $1500/family for 2013.

However, I still don't know which one to choose. We are relatively healthy, but the Silver HRA scares me. IF we do get sick, wow! Lots of out of pocket.

I have been hunting and pecking for this great planning tool, but haven't found it - where is it located?

It's with all of the health care plan stuff in the Employee Self Serve. It compared three plans for me, but the DPMP was not one of them.

Its called insurance for a reason. I have done the gold the last five years and and really debating what to do this year. I have a family of five and or medical bills are steadily going up.
