Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
OMFG... I just spent 6 hours crafting the perfect Christmas Holiday bid. Hit submit. "Unable to Submit bid".
***... internet connection bad? Reboot. Reboot modem.
Oh crap, go back and read the deadline info...
DOH!! I thought I had until sometime on the 12th, forgot they moved it to the 11th!
WHERE WERE YOU FTB??? I needed that "Bid Fools!" sign.
So bummed, but at least I had a commutable default bid in. Didn't request any days off though, so I expect I'll be flying over Xmas when I probably could have gotten it off.
All that work for nothing...first time trying "CSSN" and multiple bid groups blah blah... Hell I skipped "The Walking Dead" to finish that bid!

Well this is interesting.
Minyanville
The International Energy Agency said in its*World Energy Outlook 2012*report that the US could overtake Saudi Arabia as the world's top oil producer by 2017 and become a net oil exporter by 2030."Energy developments in the United States are profound and their effect will be felt well beyond North America – and the energy sector. The recent rebound in US oil and gas production, driven by upstream technologies that are unlocking light tight oil and shale gas resources, is spurring economic activity – with less expensive gas and electricity prices giving industry a competitive edge – and steadily changing the role of North America in global energy trade," the report said.

The case was split in two. That's why it ended up being called Duke/Spellacy. Duke and Spellacy both won in the trial but ALPA agreed to a settlement with the Duke plaintiffs before the jury could rule on damages. The amount of the settlement was never disclosed but ALPA had to sell their building in Washington to pay for it.
The Spellacy plaintiffs refused to settle. They won the jury verdict but the judge ultimately threw out the verdict "as a matter of law". The Spellacy lawyers then appealed that ruling. That's the appellate court cases you are reading. The appeals court upheld the district judge's decision to throw out the case. So ALPA won.
Turned out they would not have had to pay Duke but it was too late. The settlement was a done deal. A lot of people said it nearly bankrupted ALPA but the people who know how much it really cost have never talked.
SPELLACY II v. AIRLINE PILOTS ASSOCIATION INTERNATIONAL III, No.
