Then why didn't YOU run, Purple? You've certainly got all the answers to all our problems, at least in your own mind. Go out, convince a few more people, and take over. I wait with bated breath.

Rihanna chartered a Delta 777 for the entire tour. Aircraft stays with the tour. Nice trip if you could hold it!!!
Another 3-man crew (2 CAs 1 FO- one of the CA's is #1 Cal!) is doing the balance of the trip. Not particularly relaxing... mostly 18 hour and one 9 hour layover. There's supposed to be something like 290 people.... really amazing how they are packing that thing full! The flight number 8857 is following it the whole way if anyone wants to track it. |

Looks like the B747-400 lie-flat mod is complete: Delta Air Lines Completes Full Flat-bed Installations on Boeing 747-400 Aircraft - Nov 15, 2012
Slowly but surely we're getting the fleet done. Hopefully that will keep increasing the number of pilots on the airplane - maybe that's why there was the additional crews on the latest AE. It is also the reason why the A330 wasn't backfilled- they are beginning their lie flat mods which will continue for the next year and a half. |

"A full flat-bed seat with direct aisle access is a premium cabin feature that's important to our customers and one of the many ways we're keeping our commitment to making flying better," said Glen Hauenstein, executive vice president – Network, Revenue Management and Marketing. "The 747 is an iconic aircraft and with this nose-to-tail modification complete, it will serve as the crown jewel of our fleet taking our customers everywhere they want to go – from Australia, Asia, the Middle East and back again." |

So a DELTA 747 flies to Australia? And if it is the crown jewel, we need more of them.
