Thanks my brother. Don't know how long I'll last. Lil' 80 has informed me that I have had "multiple infractions, and need to tone it down". Pretty sensitive group we have. Not sure if my infractions start over at zero now that I've spent a month in timeout or if I'm one away from banishment again.

Can someone explain the color coded references to me?
NERD went after me a couple of times and I was too unknowing of all the references to even understand until other posters who speak Minnesotan explained it to me. At this point, aren't we plaid? Green book guys are pre-merger Republic. Blue book guys are anyone hired at Northwest after the merger in 1986. |

Greenbook = Former Republic, which, of course, was also former North Central, Southern, Air West (which was also made up of..ah, you get the idea) Bluebook = Post NWA/REP merger pilots (and apparent source of BBD's angst). NOT to be confused with Redtail = Former NWA (see above) Bluetail = Former DAL (made up of DAL, WAE, PAA, NE, C&S, etc etc) Purple = Post merger guys Some guys are crabby that the sun no longer rises and sets in the Central Time Zone. Some other guys are crabby that their Thunderdome experience was rudely interrupted by other events. Some other guys are being real grumpuses because "us" actually means "you and me" and not "you just listening to me". I really can't believe we're still talking about this. Sheesh. Nu |

Blah blah blah, constructive engagement. We'll see how kingsley does. I'm just glad I got to cast my vote and he was elected by the majority! |

Homeland rocks...on the DVR until tomorrow though. It's not 24 but still a great show.
Baja. Wait until you see it! I won't ruin it for you. I was just looking for someone to share a "can you believe that!?!" with. As you know the series is full of them with 3-4 per episode. Tonight there were 5 or 6. :D |

I definitely get tired of the pre-merger color coding. Then again, politics annoy me to no end as it is. It appears to be 90% of what bigbusdriver knows what to talk about as it is.

Green - Republic pilots at time of 1986 merger Blue - NWA hires after 1986 merger Roberts Rule - 20 year fence separating "Red" and "Green" positions brought into the merger; expired in 2006 Ninjas - Red pilot faction fighting to insure separation of those positions True story: Me, 2007 (post Roberts), eating at the Subway in MSP. Across the way, an NWA captain talking loudly on his phone, exclaiming he would never "let those Green guys screw me." There are those who will never move past this, 26 years after it all started, and 6 years after it ended. Too bad. Don't feed the trolls. |
