I got a robo-call for a green slip yesterday. Too bad I live 1,000 miles away from ATL.

You could pay me 4 times the rate, I'm not giving up the holidays with my family and friends (if I was awarded it off).

I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving. Lots to be thankful for!

Its great that we have a system that allows pilots who would like to work those holidays to volunteer. That means that you can be home with your family rather then get a jetway assignment. I would not feel bad for them. I would be happy that by flying they insure you can stay home if you have the basic seniority to hold it.

I appreciate the GS system, it's better than a jetway assignment, I just wish that Holiday Pay had made it into C2012.

On a totally unrelated subject, does the 75% sick pay go away January 1st? And if so, does sick time now showing 75% get restored to 100%?

I can't find the implementation schedule. Thanks!

does anyone know what day the Delta Investor Day conference is in December. They are supposed to announce their fleet plans going forward with our 50 seat jets at pinnacle probably being a big topic of that discussion.
Thanks

Yes, it does. Here is relevant part of the implementation schedule:

Effective January 1, 2013:
o Elimination of 75% pay for sick leave and the associated rolling three-year bank
o Requirement to verify individual sick leave occurrence that is 15 days or longer
o Ability for a pilot who returns from disability and who has exhausted his sick leave hours for the current sick leave year to elect to transfer up to 50 hours from the subsequent sick leave year accrual

There are more items under sick leave but this one answers your question.

Denny
