When you deviate, you have to find open seats on the flight you want, which will show when you go to book it.

If it shows 0/0, you are screwed, as it won't assign you a seat number. I don't know if the CPO can get you on an oversold flt. when you are DV8'n, but it might be worth a call to see what they can do for you, or you could book the J/S if it's open.

Believe it or not, there are lots of guys who don't have wives, or kids, and bid to have a big group of days off over the holidays, just to be able to pick up a greenie.

Yes lots to be thankful for but don't assume somebody is missing a holiday just for a GS. Just so many variables in an airline this large.Flt that leaves at 9pm or say starts with a DH that the pilot deviates from.The list of reasons is long.
