Telex 850 worked great on the 737 except for 2-3 aircraft that for some reason caused a squealing feedback. Pros: doesn't need batteries, cheaper than most ANR's

Cons: I found myself constantly pulling the left earcup off so I could hear the CA. So now ill have skin cancer on my right, and be deaf in my left ear :-)

I'm open to suggestions, and looking for a headset that I can also use on the B737/M88/B717 since I'll likely end up on one of those fleets. Thanks. :)

When were you hired? Yikes I wasn't really worried about being displaced until now.

I'm senior to you, but wasn't implying that I expect to be displaced. I just think at some point I'll bail off to a fleet that allows me to hold a line. :) But I'm not certain. I just want a product that's flexible, so I can use it on different fleets. :)

Sorry for the scare. :D

Thanks for the feedback Leine. I'm thinking about an in ear headset for that very reason.

Do guys on the M88 use the intercom? We don't use it on the 757/767, so I'm not certain how well an ANR headset would work.

No intercom - it's pretty quiet up front in the -88 & -90.

until a window doesn't seal. :D

I'd still much prefer an rj style intercom any day over the one ear on and one ear off system we use on the MDs and Boeing's. But hey, it's how they did it in the 50s so by golly that's how we ought to do it in 2013.

We used the intercom in the deafening C-5. I kept trying to use it in the 88 sims. I didn't like the ear off method either.

Well if there's any wonder on why we still have the 737 cockpit and no hot mics:
