I know we have some things in the fire as far as the perimeter rule is concerned. Maybe we are working at changing the below, but to everyone saying this is surely going to be a major win for mainline remember most of these aren't just normal slots, they are commuter slots.

A: At Reagan National, aircraft with 76 seats or less can operate with commuter slots. At LaGuardia, the general rule is that jet aircraft with 56 seats or less can use commuter slots, although there are some exceptions.

Its going to be interesting to see what the plans are but depending on the source you get different impressions. Hopefully we'll get more info in the next couple days from mgmt.

Delta shares were up 3.3 percent at $7.25, while US Airways shares were up 4.5 percent at $3.04 in afternoon trade on the New York Stock Exchange.

The deal would transfer 125 pairs of slots from US Airways to Delta at LaGuardia. Those slots are currently used by US Airways Express.

US Airways has been criticized for underutilizing the space over the years by flying regional jets instead of larger planes. Delta plans to use bigger aircraft.

More efficient use of LaGuardia, notorious for congestion and delays, has long been a priority of transportation and aviation regulators.

Or by the New York Port Authority who are the ones responsible for the restriction? If that was the case it would have been ditched by now.

I agree that it's in everyone's best interest to get rid of these restrictions. With only so much space in LGA you might as well have as many people as possible coming in & out with each slot.
