No, it wasn't meant too be funny, it was meant to belittle Buzz's post.

As someone who makes it a habit to refute condescending remarks against DALPA with facts and actualities, I think you, of all people, can appreciate the difference between a condescending remark and a joke.

There was nothing to belittle in his post. Go back and read it.

Can you imagine, just for a second, if DL did this ?

And then, could you imagine a pic of DL Flight attendents, like this ?

I have a 2-day on the 31st-1st, and am looking to swap for a 5-day on the 30th-3rd. It's a "q" trip, as reserve coverage is below mins for both the 30th and 31st. It's getting denied based on that, so my question is, can CS manually override the denial? It helps me out because I would have to commute up on the 30th anyway for the 2-day, but I can commute same day for the 5-day.

Here's a bit deeper explanation on why you cannot swap with a Q trip in open time:

A Q trip still belongs to the original pilot, it is still on his line, and if nobody picks it up, he is still responsible for flying it. You cannot swap your trip onto his line, and his to yours, via swap with the pot.

The reason it's a Q trip in the first place is, they don't have adequate reserve coverage for him to drop it. If they did have coverage, it would be in open time without the Q, and you could (probably, depending on coverage) have dropped your trip as well, or swapped with that trip. BUT...because they don't have coverage, you and he cannot drop your trips.

You could call him up and ask him if he wants to swap his trip for yours, that might help you both out, but you'd have to do that on the eCrew Swap Board, via the Swap with Friends function. Or, as SF said, you could put your trip on the eCrew Swap board as a "Just pick it up" and if it goes away, then you will be free to pick up that Q trip from the Open Time pot.

Clear as mud? :D

It used to be very simple, we only had one open time pot. When they added the eCrew swap board, it got complicated. There are now two paralelle 'open time' systems, one has max pick-up rules, and Q trips, the other does not.

Sex doesn't sell does it? Don't bait and switch me to a granny. I paid good money for this ticket.

I'm still very fond of girls on trampolines.

Call him up, get him to pull his trip from the swap board, drop your trip on the ptp swap board, have him give you his trip via swap with friends.

I think we have a high, very high, chance of seeing a video of fellow employees doing the Harlem Shake. If I'm right, it may be as bad as seeing a JFK inflight crew with 20 years at Pan Am dressed like the girls you posted. :D

I think it would simplify things if they would just get rid of the Q (Qualified trip drop) all together, now that we have the swap/drop board.

If you want to drop a trip but they don't have the coverage to allow it, just post it as a "Pick Up" on the swap/drop board.

The Q function was kind of a half-assed way of doing that, prior to the newer eCrew swap/drop system, but it has so many limitations, it's about useless.

And...is Nok airline hiring pilots?

I know they probably don't pay much, but I'm guessing it's 'all you can eat', on the layovers, :D which is nice! I love Asian food.
