The training department is freaking out because of the loss of available sim time. Delta was able to move the DC-9 sim and get certification in 21 days and they are upset that Boeing is taking this long. The other 717 sims available worldwide are located in Stockholm or Brisbane. Sign me up for that assignment:). I guess the Hawaiian pilots now have to go to Brisbane for recurrent training.

You talked me into it...I'll AE 717A in both bases. Let's see how far I miss it by.

Baja.

So it was hinted that you'd get a summer off and thus guys bid the 717 in the hopes of a summer off, only one problem, doesn't look like that's happening at all. Nice. oh well for them, just be glad it's a 2 year seat lock and we haven't gone to 5 yet.

They already posted the SIM schedule so I guess a lucky few will start in late April but it will be like 4 or 5 crews getting the summer off. The rest will be in training over the summer months and of course into next winter.

Question for anyone who knows... I noticed that regular lines on NYC765 are going to very junior pilots for the last few months. I'm guessing that this is a winter anomaly, and that those junior line-holders are reserve guys most of the year. I can't see any of the bid awards prior to January. Does anyone have any experience in that seat? I know, I should stay away, NYC sucks, right?

Don't plan on commutable trips and have fun flying the left over scraps.

The 765 scraps beat the heck out of the scraps I get in my current category.

Got ya. I thought you were a 7ER guy looking to go to NYC7ER. I can't speak for the 765. I have never viewed their rotations.

Keep in mind that does not include MD bids.

I agree with you. The company is desperately trying to bribe people to bid B717. I'm hoping over 75% of the B717A and B717B positions are filled via MD.

Glad you are hoping for mandatory displacements.
