Probably not too many... as a matter of fact, unless a guy has vacation, or is on short or long STD... he will probably work more than 6 days between now and the end of August. Not me though... I did 8 North Atlantic crossings in the first 14 days of the month... good thing all my X days were at the end. Ahhhh yes... reserve is sooooo wonderful.

I believe Sprint ran a commercial with you in mind.

tsquare to an inquisitive FO on the above quote:

"8 crossings in 14 days, it's my way of sticking it to the man."

"But sir, you are the MAN!"

Since I am new to the AE process, can someone tell me if the seniority numbers listed on the AE are "Delta" numbers or the merged list numbers. Thanks

merged.

Your old list number is just a figment of the past :)

Not quite yet. We are still bidding with our "old" numbers until BP5.

There is no BP5 for any FDAL pilots, so yes, we are bidding with our new numbers. Now, the FNWA pilots are using their old numbers on their APA bids until BP5. At least that is the way it was explained to me. YMMV.

I doubt if I will work 6 days for DAL between now and the end of sept without vacation. If I do, it will be on the weekends by choice.

BTW, why is weekends off such a good deal? I don't like to fight the lines at lowes and home depot with the other mon-fri folks. Plus, I have the lake to myself during the week. However, my wife doesn't work and my son is in preschool (not too many activities).

Variety of tastes is what makes this biz work for me.

Got them, thanks Denny. Three days of total non-airline bliss followed by the reality of the results of displacements. Not TOO bad for me. Fell back a few numbers but some senior guys VD'd out also. Lots of change in the category out here (LA) though. Lots of great guy CA's displaced. Really sad to see them move. Its gonna be a whole 'nother dynamic out here. I know and love these guys and lots of them are moving back to the right seat and in places like NYC. Sad, really. That's the business. It sucks.

8 crossings? Pus.y. Do you know how many DVDs I've watched it the last couple of months? I mean, how many times I've read Vol 2?

What I am asking is, my AE/MD/VD remained as is since I had not changed them since the last displacement correct?

This is too late now for this bid, but I believe that your MD choices get wiped clean after a vacancy/displacement bid, so there wouldn't have been any MDs in there when the bid was run. I certainly had to re-input mine this time around. Hope you got what you wanted.
