For a generic wide open white slip request, if you don't select "yes" to award 0700 next day PCS run, does that diminish your chances of getting a trip award. I'm trying to figure out if there is a benefit to selecting yes or no on that option.

Flight Delay Information - Air Traffic Control System Command Center LaHood's going to have to send out some memos. Sequestration's impact not being felt. Must increase the panic.... He could call Dick Cheney, Saddam, Uranium, Yellow Cakes, alleged statements from known liars in Africa ... code yellow plaid... something. Glad it is not as bad as feared. But, if we have paid our fuel tax and the passengers have paid their taxes, haven't we paid for a service the government should provide? If controllers can not go on strike, and neither can we, why should the White House be able to call a work stoppage? |

Here's a question for the reserve guru's. Situation: International category, on call for 16 days in a row. Periodically get short call but no trips assigned. Been on call, both short and long, 12 days straight. Now here is the question. Before a trip assignment, do you need 24 hours free from duty? No I haven't been assigned a trip, just wondering...... Thx

Denny They are supposed to give you 24 hours off every 7 days. It's possible you were on rest and didn't even know it. ;) |

There are a number of junior dudes on the ER out of NY that live on the west coast and drop their whole schedules every month and put in blanket out of base WS GS for LAX SEA SLC. I've often wondered what happens in the months it doesn't work out. Second job?
