regarding guys the fact that green slips and reassignments will cover the flying I agree but if the ALVs are already high you do not have that much extra slack built into the schedule. You will more frequently run into 30 in 7 issues etc. guys cannot white slip like they normally would. Also you have the requirement that the first 100 hours of sick will not need to be verified this starts in june and those 100 hours only cover this summer since our sick time will reset next summer. I hope I am wrong but I lets hope for good weather all summer.

File an extension. Turbotax takes about 2 seconds and you print and mail it. Gives you until Oct 15th.

Hey guys, I've got to be in Prague next week for two days. I've never been there and the schedule will be busy, but where's the best place to eat and/or drink beer?
Carl Pilsner urquel is the worlds first pilsner beer and IMO, still the best (non export version). It gets it's name from the city of its birth, pilzn, Czech republic. Absynth is an herbal alcohol with mystical powers. It is illegal most places in the world, but made in the Czech republic. Becherovka is an herbal digestive, something like a cross between schnapps and vodka (it's meant to be kept in the freezer) it is my favorite skiing drink. The Karoly strana (Charles bridge) is the center of the castle district. In this area, there are many Beerstube like restaurants many feature delicious game entrees wild boar, rabbit, venison etc. you can't go wrong in any of those places. The castle district can be quickly seen in a half a day. There is a clock tower like a giant cuckoo clock in one of the squares that (I think) dates from the 1400s...it's worth it to see the thing go off on the hour. I have two personal Prague stories both centered at the Charles bridge. The first was when I watched the filming of the first mission impossible with Tom cruise...opinion aside. The second was when I was there for a bike race and I just stumbled across a porno being filmed in broad daylight. I watched the whole scene, what the heck. Like Vienna, Prague is a musical city, which centers on its opera house and symphony hall. It's a great city, and very beautiful in the castle district. The women dress according to the weather - you really want to be there in the summer. IMO, it is really high up on the greatest cities in Europe. |

I will add, be careful. Had some buds there a couple years back who were surrounded by a handful of thugs leaving an establishment. They were "accused" of looking at the wrong girl or some BS like that. It costed them about $200 not to get rolled.
Of course if these were airline pilots then give the thugs some leeway, they probably stared way longer than you should just like pilots tend to do in the concourse. :D |
