Construct a master list, merge a airline ect.. are all 100 percent management functions. ALPA can within the constraints of the railway labor act attempt to negotiate those items with management. 100% correct. Not a small point at all. That small point is so often overlooked by many who think that the Delta MEC should just go "poof" and force Delta to combine all of us into one big happy family. It should be pointed out as well, that there are triggers in the Delta PWA which "force" Delta's hand. Certain provisions require a seniority list merger if Delta buys certain airlines for instance. Thought I'd add that. |

I will agree with Bucking Bar, however, that it is time to move froward and put the effort back into more productive issues for the Delta pilots. Recapturing scope at every availability is but one of those issues, albeit a very important one. |
