Undoubtedly.

Wasn't my idea. I heard it from someone who claimed he heard it in Atlanta.

The reality is, DAL owns NWA. If DAL's management doesn't get what they want out of the NWA unions / labor, couldn't they just go around them?

Since they are technically now a seperate company inside of a holding company, it is an interesting theory. The pilots probably would be the only workgroup that could stop it with their contract, but since we now have a JCBA I'm not sure the pilots could do much about it.

I'm sure they would rather work it out without going down that road. RA doesn't seem like the kinda CEO that is stupid enough to try and do something of that nature then wonder why the largest airline in the world doesn't perform like it should on paper. He knows happy employees are the key here.

That is not the issue. It is DGS doing the work on NWA jets.

I had heard that this was one of the issues with the MD-90's leaving SLC and 320's coming in. However, it now looks like NWA will start utilizing gates C1, C3, and C5 sometime in January and the Delta people will do the over and underwing servicing. Maybe it isn't as big of an issue as we think. They also only have one gate right now in A terminal and will use three in the C terminal so I'd imagine we'll see more old NWA aircraft in SLC soon.

My point was that he can dream all day, but we have a JCBA and the fact is that his thinking or whomever he heard it from is wishful. The company is bound by the JPWA. Fact, is that we are way beyond any of that type of game. The SLI will come out and we will move on. Fact is that all the DAL pilots (new and old) are way above that.
Better? I know you do know me better than that!
I look forward to moving past all of this. Maybe even someday share a flight deck together!

I'm sure that's more of a nightmare then it's worth. I don't think they would want the lawsuits either.

O no! I think we have two possible angles to this conversation going on here. 1. Pilots getting the shaft. 2. Pre-Delta Union employees getting the shaft.

Either way, I know everyone better than that and I don't care. The SLI countdown goes on and I look forward to working with my new brothers and sisters. :D

I hear that you NWA guys are hearing Bloch may hand down his decision today. I have been saying that makes the most sense!

Forgive my ignorance but why does that make more sense today rather than Monday?

bad news is usually released on a Friday so investors have the weekend to digest the information. Tends to dampen out the reaction by Wall Street.

Not saying the news will be bad for one side over the other, or for either side. But if the initial reaction is bad, it could cause DAL stock to drop a fair amount.
